What is a Subject Access Request?
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask NexGen Clinic for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, along with information about how and why we use it. This is called a Subject Access Request (SAR). Requests are free of charge in most cases and we will respond without undue delay — normally within one month of confirming your identity.
How to submit a request
Email info@nexgen.clinic with the subject line "Subject Access Request", or write to: NexGen Clinic, 2a Thoday Street, Cambridge CB1 3AS.
Please include your full name, contact details, and any information that helps us identify you (for example, the treatments you have received or the email you used to book).
Please tell us clearly what information you are asking for. A focused request helps us respond faster.
Verifying your identity
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before we release any personal data. We will only ask for the minimum information needed — typically a copy of a photo ID and one recent proof of address. We store verification evidence securely and only for as long as needed to process your request.
How long we take to respond
We aim to respond within one calendar month of confirming your identity. In complex cases we may extend this by up to two further months and will notify you of the extension and the reasons within the first month.
When we may not be able to release information
UK GDPR allows some exceptions — for example, where the information relates to another individual, is protected by legal privilege, or where disclosure would prejudice clinical care. Where an exception applies we will explain this in writing.
Your other rights
You also have the right to correction, deletion (where applicable), restriction, objection, portability, and to withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
